Sayu Series (2017–2018)

Human beings continuously interact with and are influenced by their surrounding environment. The figures within the work symbolize individual existence, while the repeated lines and layered colors represent the traces left by external experiences and encounters.

The colors that permeate and diffuse across the hanji reveal the inner transformations of human beings, much like different frequencies meeting and resonating with one another. The accumulated traces surrounding the figures reflect the passage of time and the ongoing process through which human existence is shaped and transformed through its relationship with the external world.

인간은 끊임없이 외부 환경과 관계를 맺으며 영향을 주고받는다. 화면 속 형상은 고유한 존재를 상징하며, 반복되는 선과 중첩된 색의 층은 외부의 자극과 경험이 인간에게 남기는 흔적을 나타낸다.

한지에 스며들고 번지는 색은 서로 다른 주파수가 만나 공명하듯 변화하는 인간의 내면을 드러내며, 형상 주변에 축적된 흔적들은 외부 세계와 관계 맺으며 변화하는 인간 존재의 시간을 드러낸다.
