Sayu Series, 2022–2025
The Contemplation Series is based on an exploration of human existence and relationships. The repeated figures symbolize human beings who think, question, and reflect, while the colors and lines permeating the hanji (traditional Korean paper) reveal traces of time, memory, and emotion.
The tilted heads and simplified forms suggest a contemplative attitude toward life. Although the figures exist as independent entities within the pictorial space, they simultaneously influence one another through relationships, reflecting the ways in which human existence is formed and transformed.
Dry and wet lines, along with traces of bleeding and permeation, record moments of anxiety, solitude, hope, and reflection experienced throughout life. Through these layered marks, the work explores the human condition as a continuous process of contemplation and becoming.
사유시리즈 (2022-2025)
사유 시리즈는 인간 존재와 관계에 대한 탐구를 바탕으로 한다. 반복되는 형상은 생각하고 질문하는 인간을 상징하며, 한지 위로 스며드는 색과 선은 시간과 기억, 감정의 흔적을 드러낸다.
기울어진 머리와 단순화된 형상은 삶에 대한 사유의 자세를 나타낸다. 화면 속 형상들은 서로 독립적으로 존재하면서도 관계 속에서 영향을 주고받으며, 인간 존재가 형성되고 변화하는 과정을 보여준다.
건조한 선과 습한 선, 번짐과 스밈의 흔적은 인간이 살아가며 겪는 불안과 고독, 희망과 성찰의 시간을 기록한다.

Sayu Series (2022–2023)
The composition is constructed through the repeated layering of red human figures. As the figures overlap and accumulate, they form a collective landscape, while the recurring lines reveal traces of memories and experiences gathered over time.Filling the surface of the work, the figures extend beyond individual identities to suggest the flow of relationships and communities. Through this accumulation of forms and lines, the work visualizes human existence and the traces of life that emerge through time and connection.
사유 시리즈 (2022-2023)
붉은 인간 형상을 반복적으로 중첩하며 화면을 구축한다. 형상들은 서로 겹쳐지고 축적되며 하나의 집단적 풍경을 형성하고, 반복되는 선은 시간 속에 쌓여가는 기억과 경험의 흔적을 드러낸다. 화면을 가득 채운 형상들은 개별적 존재를 넘어 관계와 집단의 흐름을 보여주며, 인간 존재와 삶의 흔적을 시각화한다.

As countless seeds are contained within a single apple, so too does a single being hold countless layers of time, relationships, and memories.
한 알의 사과 속에 수많은 씨앗이 품어져 있듯, 하나의 존재 안에도 수많은 시간과 관계,
그리고 셀 수 없는 기억의 층위가 담겨 있다.

The figures stand apart from one another, each occupying its own space within the vast emptiness of the surface. Though separated by distance, they share the same space, suggesting the coexistence of different lives, memories, and ways of being.
Like birds that fly beneath different skies, each figure follows its own path while remaining part of a larger world. Through color, distance, and silence, the work reflects on individuality, solitude, and the invisible relationships that connect human existence.
형상들은 서로 떨어져 각자의 자리를 지키며 화면 속에 존재한다. 서로 다른 거리를 두고 있지만 같은 공간을 공유하며,
각기 다른 삶과 기억, 존재의 방식을 드러낸다.저마다 다른 하늘 아래를 나는 새들처럼, 형상들은 각자의 길을 따라 살아간다. 색과 거리, 그리고 여백을 통해 인간 존재의 고독과 개별성, 그리고 보이지 않는 관계에 대해 사유한다.
