Sayu Series (2020)

The contemplative figure symbolizes human existence shaped through relationships and time. The colors and lines absorbed into the hanji paper reveal accumulated memories, emotions, and traces of life formed through encounters with the external world.

The stains and permeations surrounding the figure record moments of anxiety, solitude, wounds, and hope experienced throughout life. Color seeps into the body and spreads outward again, leaving traces of relationships. This process resembles the way human beings form their identities through connection, change, and experience.

The solitary figure within the picture continuously moves between the weight and lightness of life, questioning the meaning of existence. Through traces of permeation and diffusion, this work visualizes human solitude, existential reflection, and the passage of contemplation shaped within relationships.

사유 시리즈 (2020)

사유의 형상은 관계와 시간 속에서 형성된 인간 존재를 상징한다. 한지 위에 스며든 색과 선은 외부 세계와의 접촉 속에서 축적된 기억과 감정, 그리고 삶의 흔적을 드러낸다.

형상을 감싸는 번짐과 스밈은 인간이 경험하는 불안과 고독, 상처와 희망의 시간을 기록한다. 색은 몸 안으로 스며들고 다시 외부로 확산되며 관계의 흔적을 남긴다. 그 과정은 마치 인간이 삶 속에서 관계를 맺고 변화하며 존재를 형성해 가는 과정과 닮아 있다.

화면 속 홀로 서 있는 형상은 삶의 무게와 가벼움 사이를 끊임없이 오가며 존재의 의미를 묻는다.

이 작업은 스밈과 번짐의 흔적을 통해 인간의 실존과 고독, 그리고 관계 속에서 형성되는 사유의 시간을 시각화한다.
